Just remove the screws from the underside of the cushion, put the metal bracket in place (it will end up holding the section that has the wheels), and use the screws to secure it in place. I have purchased two of these chairs.

(More customer reviews)I bought this chair in the walnut finish. It took 2 people 2 hours to put it together. The instructions were very difficult to follow. The screw holes were not aligned right for attaching the arms. Some of the screws were too long and actually went threw the back of the chair causing damage to the wood. I would have sent it back but the special tool this company included stripped the tops of the screws. Now the screws cannot be removed and the pieces cannot be unassembled .

(More customer reviews)I received this as a gift at my baby shower. I LOVED it. Over time, the 'connectors' for the side pockets have ripped (and I have never even used the pockets) so the sides just kind of flap there. The ottoman has also broken, it doesn't rock straight, it's got a bit of a side wobble to it. Although my son sat on it, so that may be why (but he was 2 at the time, and VERY small for his age, so if that's all it took - eek!).
I know I sound quite negative, but still with all the faults I do enjoy the chair. I won't use it again for a glider after having a baby, the 'leather' is too cold when it's time for a 3am feeding, and not very comfortable in that aspect either. But I love when I get 'me time' and sit back with an afghan and a good movie.
Speaking of, my 'me time' seems to be broken as well lately.. Although not the fault of the chair ;)

I must admit that from the picture, we thought it was a "purple-ish" chair, but upon receiving (and reading the description) it's certainly a brown leather chair.
The chair was very easy to assemble and came with all parts and tools necessary to do so, as well as instructions. It took less than 20 minutes to unpack assemble and only a few more minutes to get the "settings" right and comfy.
All in all, this is a very comfortable chair. The padding is very adequate and i don't notice the adjustment screw under the seat cushion like i often do. The arms are at the perfect height and have good, comfortable support. The very high back makes this chair a real winner, too. One thing i did not expect but was pleasantly surprised was that this chair has a very generous width to accommodate even crossed-leg style sitting -- not very ergo, i know, but who's telling the ergo-police??
The chair enjoys all of the adjustments you can expect and provides nice lumbar support.The plastic base is typical of these types of chairs and doesn't exceed or fall below my expectations. It is quite stable and i didn't feel i was going to fall over in my initial tests.
Conclusion: It's not a Hermann-Miller chair, but for $800 less, you can enjoy a very comfortable chair for a very comfortable price. A definite recommendation for anyone looking for a good chair at a good price!

It is very comfortable. I ordered the matching arms for mine. They are fine, but the lowest height is a little higher than I would like, still not bad. Finally, assembly was a piece of cake. I've ordered and put together about 4 or 5 chairs through the years and this one by far was the fastest and easiest. Really well designed and engineered in this way. Total assembly time with the arms was about 10 or 15 minutes - max.

I was expecting the color to be as pictured but it's more of a dark sand or dark Taupe color. Definitely not the light beige bone color I was expecting. Assembly was pretty easy. The only reason I didn't send it back is because shipping was $100!! I don't want to pay to ship it back.
When I ordered, the shipping fees did not appear. I had no idea how much it was going to be until after the item shipped and I saw the final total. As far as functionality, it is exactly what I wanted for a nursery glider/recliner so I am settling even though the color is too dark and the shipping fee was a shocker.

It does not say it but these seats have a maximum weight of 200 lbs. so my husband cannot use them. They go up and down, but it depends on your weight. I am 115lbs. and I can go down not up. My Daughter is 48lbs. and can only go up. Still a deal but keep the weight restriction in mind if you want everyone to use them.
