(More customer reviews)It took me a few hours to assemble properly. Being so large a chair it was difficult to line up the holes on the back rest and seat with the holes on the arm rests and hold them in place while attaching the arm rests to them.
Being cheaply made, some screws have to be switched to different holes because some will fit some holes, but not others. I suggest that you do not place the plastic screw covers until you are certain that the screws are all in tightly! It seemed tight enough until I sat on the chair and rocked it - then the arm rests loosened up, and I had to take out all the plastic screw covers and tighten all the screws again - twice!
Be sure to attach the metal plate with the lever to the seat in the correct direction. The metal plate reads "Front" with an arrow. If you attach it backwards (as I did the first time - oops) the seat will tilt forward.
makes me sit farther forward than normal, but I prefer to have the seat length be a little shorter so that the backs of my knees are not up against the seat front. A shorter person would have to tilt backwards uncomfortably toward the back rest.
The cushioning for the lower back is pretty thick and WOULD give good support IF the seat weren't so long and IF the backrest didn't tilt backward so that you have to lean backwards in it. It's uncomfortable at the computer because I have to sit on the front of the seat without using the backrest.
The seat height is "just" low enough for me so that my feet can rest flat against the floor, although I'd prefer to lower it a bit more, and I'm tall. A shorter person would be unable to rest their feet flat against the floor at this lowest seat height.
It seems to have been designed for a man or a larger person. I guess the manufacturer assumes that all bosses are men. Hmmmmmmmm...
It takes a lot of pressure to roll the wheels on medium-thick carpeting while sitting in the chair - defeats the purpose of having wheels.
The fabric color is a darker, ugly brown than it appears in the photo, and it does not have the leathery look that it does in the photo. I wanted a richer, warmer brown, and the leather look - but don't want real leather.
The swivel motion is smooth.
For comfort at the computer, a plain wooden chair would have sufficed, especially as this chair does not glide well.
