It's very comfortable and plush feeling, easy to keep clean and the Pleather is tough enough not to be ripped by doggie claws. And the ottoman is great fun for letting your dog "surf" on.
My husband can't wait for this to come out of the baby's room and become his chair, as it has the higher back and gives great head and neck support. Chair springs did start to squeak a bit but only when fatties like me and my mom rock in it. WD40 quick spray did the trick.

Two of the 4 chairs we bought from overstock.com were defective- the screws and holes didn't line us. Returned them and bought two from amazon. These were less expensive and went together great! They look very nice and are comfortable.

(More customer reviews)This chair is very comfortable and I am glad I got it. The mocha color is much darker than in the pic -- I'd call it more of a taupe/light brown. I got it to replace my office chair and it sure is an upgrade. Good lumbar support and good height for the pillow.
They said it would take 2 weeks to be delivered, but two days after I ordered it, the shipping company called to say they were delivering the next day. So three days after I ordered it online, an 18 wheeler pulled up to my house, and the shipping charges were free.
It was not hard to assemble, and all the parts are quality construction with welded steel and nice hardwood.
I was hesitant to buy such a chair online without sitting in it first, but I am very happy with it. If you don't need an office chair on wheels and you might like to recline and put your feet up while you work, go for the upgrade with this chair.

We were concerned low price would equal low quality, but we were pleasantly surprised. These chairs were easy to assemble and look exactly as pictured. The only quality issue we noticed was that the chairs do not swivel as easily as some other stools we've owned. However, the amount of force required is reasonable - it's no trouble to swivel while sitting. These ended up being a great bargain for us to outfit the higher breakfast countertop in our kitchen.

(More customer reviews)This order was a very good surprise (and at a fantastic price). The picture doesn't do this product justice. I need three stools, but only ordered one initially to make sure it was what I wanted. I was extremely pleased with what arrived. Assembly was fairly simple. You are provided with an Allen wrench which works for most of the pieces. You will need a Philips screw driver to attach the cushion though.
Even before assembly, I could tell that this was a quality piece of furniture. Heavy, well stained and finished pieces of wood and quality leather for the seat and chair back. It should be noted that the leather on the chair back is on both sides of the stool. Also, there is a small brass cover on the foot rest to protect the wood. Nice finishing touches!
After assembly (which takes about 30 minutes), I was pleased with the result. It is sturdy and comfortable. I must note that it wobbles a slight bit which tells me that the legs are not uniform in length, but this is a minor concern and is hardly noticeable when you are sitting on the stool.
This stool really compliments my home bar and appears to be sturdy enough to handle years of enjoyment. I've gone ahead and ordered the other 2 stools that I needed.
One last note. Multiple sellers are listing this bar stool. Check the S+H costs from each seller since they vary widely and you can save some $ by choosing one with a low shipping cost (even if the stool itself costs more).

(More customer reviews)I needed to replace my home office chairs, but it seems like every chair I test in the store feels good. How do you evaluate an all-day chair in just a few minutes? Well, I got a new job,and my office chair was a Space Matrex. I use it 8+ hours each day, and I never feel uncomfortable. In fact, I don't notice the chair at all - which is the point. I bought two from Amazon. They arrived earlier than the original estimate (by nearly a week!), were easy to assemble, and they work great for my wife and me.
This chair is simpler than some of the Aeron copies. The chair has adjustments for raising and lowering (they don't lower quite as much as my wife would like - she has her desk at 25 inches. She can't cross her legs under the desk at the lowest seat height), tilt, and arm rests that raise or lower. The arm rests are contoured and covered in high density foam. I find them to be comfortable.
Overall, I find this to be a very good desk chair. Our office is filled with them, and they are holding up well.

(More customer reviews)I am relatively happy with this chair, but this wasn't the perfect recliner that I had been hoping for. In the spirit of full disclosure:
- First of all, shipping was over $80 (to IL), so the price listed is a bit misleading.
- The cushions are comfortable, but thin and rather stiff. Don't expect to sink into soft, cushy, leatherette heaven when sitting down.
- Finally, and most importantly, the recliner does not recline particularly far. You won't get anywhere near horizontal on this chair. It's comfortable, but think "economy airline seat" with respect to the angle to which it reclines. This chair is primarily a rocker- and it performs exellently in this respect.
Negatives aside, it's a fine chair. It seems to be very solidly built. It ships fast and is a comfortable rocker. My pets fight to nap on it. I risked ordering the "plum" color, because I wanted a darker chair that would fit in with a dark brown decor. It turns out that the "plum" color is essentially dark brown- with no hint of purple or red- which was perfect for me.
If you are not bothered by any of the issues I described above, then it would certainly be a solid choice.

(More customer reviews)Ok, look: These chairs are cheap. Really cheap. And not cheap in that cool, saving money but getting a great deal way, but just cheap. These chairs are how Chinese labor and manufacturing get a bad name. They are the poster child for shoddy quality control.
The acrylic had errant machine tool marks where the drill being used for the base support got a little crazy, so they come pre-scratched. Neat! I won't have to do that myself. Like I said, cheap.
The really cool part is the total lack of instructions. Wow, just wow. Not even the machine-translated stuff that comes out sounding kinda funny. I mean, if you don't have someone around that is good at building Ikea stuff, or really likes assembly challenges, don't buy these chairs. If you're handy with tools and have built cheap furniture before, you'll be able to figure it out, but good gravy... They probably meant to put instructions in there, but, well with expenses being so high and all...
So, if you decide to ignore my advice and buy these chairs anyway, remember: the thick part of the black rubber wedge goes toward the front, there's a red cap on the top of the struts that must be removed prior to putting it together, there are little wedge shaped nylon washers that go on the bolts, and the bag of lock washers is for the casters.
If that last paragraph seemed intimidating in any way, don't buy these chairs. If you think that your acrylic chairs should be smooth and scratch-free, don't buy these chairs.
Now some of you are probably wondering why I gave the chairs two stars. Well, because when you get done building them, they do look cool and are fairly comfortable to sit on.
Finally, if you find this review kinda snarky, that's good. That's the way I meant it. I wanted to get your attention. Snarky works pretty well for that, don't ya think?
Think twice before buying these.

(More customer reviews)We bought seven Powell Monster bedroom furniture items. It is a good sturdy product but the "some assembly required" has resulted in issues with five of the seven pieces we purchased. In the case of the chair, the screws don't actually attach to anything, something is clearly missing, a part like a screw insert for the bolts to screw into? They sent us a chair seat to replace the one that was not finished. The underbed storage was out of square by a half inch, the screws on the handles of the desk and rolling storage are cheap and over-tightened, one screw broke, and two had to be drilled out. The rolling bench has a drawer that is "stuck" and none of the wheel plates aligned with all four bolt holes. It's a shame that such a nice product has such basic issues.
